Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu a traditional warm welcome with garlands by our representative. We take about 20-25 minutes scenic drive by a private deluxe car till your hotel in Kathmandu.

Afternoon we visit The ancient city of Patan is situated on the southern bank of the Bagmati River about five kilometers southeast of Kathmandu. It is often referred to as Lalitpur, the “City of Beauty’. Kathmandu has slipped irrevocably into the hustle and bustle of modern living, but in Patan, time seems to have stood still. This city still clings to its old ways. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Full Day Kathmandu City Tours
In the morning after breakfast we visit Kathmandu City & Swoyambhuntah Stupa.

Amazing!! That’s Kathmandu for you, in just one word. There are parts of it that will lead you to imagine you’ve just stepped into a time warp that has sent you hurtling into the middle Ages. At other times, you feel like you’re bang in the middle of a Third World country charging towards modernization.
Kathmandu can easily send the uninitiated into sensory overdrive. You step off the plane and step into a world of narrow lanes and bylanes, carved wooden balconies unchanged for centuries, and town squares packed with an astonishing number of temples, monuments, markets and people, always people. Quite in contrast is the young, brash, rapidly changing side of Kathmandu – old men carrying images of goddesses rub shoulders with younger men in blue jeans; blaring taxi horns mingle with the tinkling of temple bells; children play among 1,000-year old chaityas. Kathmandu can be overwhelming. And astounding.
Like other two cities Patan and Bhaktapur, Kathmandu’s historic center is concentrated around Durbar Square, (durbar being the Nepali word for ‘palace’), where the monarch resided about a century ago until the palace was moved closer to the popular tourist area of Thamel.
Durbar Square is the emotional hub of Kathmandu. This is what everyone gravitates towards, and it’s easy to spend hours just walking around, acquiring a feel of the city. The area is made up of three loosely linked squares – Basantapur Square to the south, the main Durbar Square area to the west, and the second part of the Durbar Square with the old Royal Palace and an assortment of temples to the northeast. , Kumari Temple – The House of Living Goddess, Kastamandap Temple - the temple made from wood of single tree, Temple of Taleju, Kal Bhairab Temple, Temple of Akash Bhairab and many more other god and goddess.
Tour continues to Swayambhunath stupa - one of the world’s biggest Buddhist stupa, also called as Monkey Temple. Perched high on a hill overlooking the Kathmandu valley, the Swayambhunath stupa commands a grand view of Kathmandu city. Barely 3 km. away from the city, this is an important Buddhist shrine believed to be dated 12th century and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

In the afternoon we visit Pashupatinath & Boudhnath.

The Pashupatinath temple is the holiest of Hindu shrines and is an important pilgrimage site for all Hindus. Every year hundreds of thousands of devotees visit the temple. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the God of destruction or regeneration and is represented by a large lingam in the inner sanctum. Pashupati is a manifestation of Shiva as the “Lord of all living beings”.
Six kilometers northeast of Kathmandu lies one of the largest stupas in Asia - Boudhanath. It is an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists and they come from all over the world. The Newar people, the original inhabitants of Kathmandu valley call it Khasti Chaitya while the Tibetans refer to it as Chorten Zyarung Khasor. Boudhanath is also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The origin of Boudhanath according to the Newars goes back to the 5th century when the foundation was laid by King Mandeva (464-505 AD). It has been renovated many times since then. Tour returns approximately (5.30 p.m.). .

Day 3: Kathmandu-Rafting-Chitwan (Wildlife Experience)
We get up early in the morning and drive about 3 hours along winding road; carved out into steep hills, to the raft start point Charaundi on Trisuli River from where the adventure of the day begins. Before you start sailing, our rafting guide gives you a small briefing about river, rapids and paddling techniques. No experience is needed to raft but the feeling for pleasure and the spirit of adventure. After an adventurous, you will be provided a lunch on the little silversand beaches. Then you will be picked-up from the raft ending point and proceed to Chitwan with another 2-3 hours scenic drive.
Chitwan - one of Asia's finest national parks. Home to many endangered species, including Bengal tigers, rhinos, crocodiles and Gangetic dolphins, the park is a delight for lovers of wildlife. The park consists of over 50 different species of grasses that play a crucial role in the lives of villagers. Every January, locals harvest the grasses, which are used for roof thatch, animal fodder, and mats. This harvest also provides clear views for game viewing. There are also forests of saal trees, the incredibly strong wood used in much of the carvings in Kathmandu temples. The park is one of the few remaining portions of the Terai that are still forested; as population pressures in the rest of Nepal have led to massive deforestation. This afternoon enjoy your first exploration of Chitwan's magnificent natural surrounding. Spend two nights in the park.

Day 9: Nagarkot-Bhaktapur-Kathmandu
In the morning after breakfast we explore Nagarkot with a short visit to nearby villages and drive back to Kathmandu via visiting the mysterious city “Bhaktapur”
Bhaktapur, which means “city of devotees” in Sanskrit, is also known as Bhadgaon. It was founded in 889 AD by King Anand Dev. Today, it covers an area of four square miles and is flanked by the Khasa Kahasung and Hanumante Rivers.
Bhaktapur is probably the most popular of the three Newar towns of the Kathmandu Valley. Newari art and architecture here rival the best craftsmanship of the Malla period, and although the earthquake of 1934 ravaged the town, it is still living proof of the highest standards of craft in this part of the world. Clay craftsmanship and cloth weaving are still practiced here as they were in the past. Only 16 kilometers east of Kathmandu, this peaceful, conservative town stands in sharp contrast to the bustle of its two adjacent cities.

Day 10: Departure
Sadly your tour concludes this morning after breakfast. You will be transferred to Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu to board your onward flight from Nepal.
