  Highlights
One of the last strongholds of the endangered swamp deer.
One of the least visited reserves, it makes for a peaceful getaway.

Description
Vegetation
It is dominated by Sal trees, but also includes open white grass plains (phanta), a lake and the Bhani River.

Wildlife
Apart from the 2000 plus swamp deer, it is home to tigers, leopards, various species of deer, wild elephants, hispid hare, wild boar, gharial, crocodiles and even otters.

Birds
It is home to over 300 species of birds.

Butterflies
The marsh mugger, Indian python, monitor lizard, cobra, krait and rat snake.

Season
Avoid the rainy season.

Accommodation
Tented accommodation available from the lone company operative in this park.

Recommended For
Avid bird watchers who don't mind roughing it out.
