Carry all your important documents, original as well as a photocopied
set. Leave one set of photocopies back home.
Your documents should include passport data, visa page,
credit cards, travel/Health insurance policy, air/bus/train
tickets, national/international driving license, and a
bunch of passport photographs.

A Visa is necessary to enter Nepal and can be obtained
for the following duration from any Royal Nepalese Embassy
or Consulate or at the entry points in Nepal

Single entry tourist
visas can be obtained by paying US$ 30 for 60 days.

If you
wish to leave and re-enter the country, you'll need
to pay additional fees. US$ 25 for Single Re-entry,
US$ 40 for Double Re-entry and US$ 60 for Multiple
Re-entries. |

If you
leave and wish to Re-enter Nepal as a tourist within
150 day of the same visa year, you may pay US$ 50
for 30 days. |

Business
visas with multiple entry facilities are available
at a rate of US $100 for one year and US $250 for
five years. Ministry of Industry recommendation
is required. |
For Indian Citizens
Indian citizens do not require a visa to visit Nepal.
However, they are required to carry documents such as
a valid passports or photo identity cards issued by the
government of India or any state government or union territory,
and identity cards issued by the election commission of
India, emergency certificate issued by the embassy of
India and Kathmandu to Indian nationals in case of emergency.
Please note that Nepal Immigration has not authorized
a valid identity for Ration Card or Driving License or
School/College ID card.
Student Visa
A student visa is necessary to enter Nepal to study, except
for Indian nationals. A multiple entry visa, valid for
1 year, can be obtained from the Department of Immigration
upon production of an appropriate letter from the Department
of Education upon payment of US$ 40.
Transit Visa
A transit visa can be obtained from Airport Immigration
for a period of 48 hrs on the presentation of airline
ticket

Extensions |

You can extend your tourist visa for a total of 150 days.
A further 30 days can be granted by paying US$ 50. A tourist
cannot stay beyond 180 days, and for any extension beyond
30 days up to 150 days, a fee of US $1 is charged per
day.
You will require a passport size photograph for your visa
extension.

| Trekking
Permit |
 |
Trekking permits for restricted areas and their extensions
are only issued in the immigration offices at Kathmandu
and Pokhara. Trekking permits are not required for treks
in unrestricted areas.

| National
Park Fees |
 |
There
are 16 National Parks, wildlife reserves and conservation
areas in Nepal, occupying over 16% of its total area.
Visitors have to pay an admission fee of Rs.650 (for foreigners)
& Rs.200 (for SAARC countries) per person per day
at all 14 National Parks except Annapurna & Shivapuri
where one has to pay Rs.2000 and Rs.250 respectively.

Airport are required to pay following airport taxes:

Domestic
